The Real Nutritionist likes her food to be as fresh as possible, and so the recipes below contain very few combined ingredients. Generally the base ingredients are single whole raw foods, which minimizes processing and reduces the likelihood of other mysterious ingredients finding their way into the food. There are a few exceptions to this, usually condiments (e.g. tamari soy sauce), which are difficult to make a home or where the ingredient is only available cooked (e.g. maple syrup).
Also since the Real Nutritionist doesn’t eat many grains you’ll find that most of the real food recipes are gluten-free.
When selecting ingredients, the Real Nutritionist recommends you buy Organic where possible and avoid anything with artificial additives and preservatives.
